The people behind The Sims Resource has been lucky enough to be invited over to EA to check out the new Sims game. Their preview is up on their site, so we recommend checking it out.
A few new things are revealed about the game, like adults being middle aged with wrinkles. This means more progress for your Sims and they will start looking a bit older earlier than in Sims 2, where adults suddenly becomes old after looking like young adults for many decades.
The town will be more important than previously, and will play an important role for your sim. This probably means more taxitrips to different lots. It will also be easier to change the town from a macromanagement perspective, and you don’t have to build every lot from ground up to change something.
As one of the most popular games of all time, Sims 3 will definitely disappear from gamestores soon after it has been released. The good news is that it is announced that Sims 3 will be available for digital download when it is released. That means that if you have reasonable good internet access, you can download the game instead of camping your local game store for a hard copy.
I’m sure this also is good news for all those who doesn’t have game store close to home. I just hope that EA will have servers that will be able to tackle the potential massive customerbase.
It is very hard to come by news about Sims 3 these days, but finally EA has added a bunch of new screenshots from the game, and a trailer. To see the new screenshots, head over to the EA Sims 3-site here.
